Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about recovering your EMI cost through a parallel SIP.
It means investing a separate monthly SIP alongside your loan EMI, sized so that by the time your loan tenure ends, your SIP’s maturity value equals (or exceeds) the total amount you paid in EMIs — effectively getting your outgo back through market-linked growth.
The calculator first works out your total EMI repayment over the loan tenure (EMI × number of months), then computes the monthly SIP needed to reach that same amount by the end of the tenure, based on your assumed annual rate of return.
15% a year is a realistic long-term equity mutual fund assumption. Higher assumptions inflate the numbers and understate the actual SIP commitment needed, so the calculator caps input at 15% to keep the projection grounded.
